Onece upon a Time...
While Dogging College one day, Me and two Pals purchased a few bottles of Costcutters Finest Cheap-shite Cider at 8:30 in the Morning & decided to go for a wander around the streets of Maryhill, in the Pishing Rain. When suddenly I remembered a story published in the paper about a young woman who lived in the Notorious 'Valley'* housing scheme in Maryhill.
The article contained a few photographs of the street outside her house, and it looked like a Fucking Hardcore place. So filled with booze & armed with our Berghaus jackets & a disposable camera we set of from Queens Cross# to pay a wee visit to The Valley.
What is..The Valley--->
*The Valley- A Housing Scheme in the NorthWest area of Maryhill, Glasgow. Mainly consists of a few, Shitty-grey pre-war tenements, a school (Gairbraid Primary), a single high rise flat on Collina St & a couple of more modern houses at the far end of Gairbraid Ave. The Valley is Basically made up of approx., Ten or so streets from 'Kelvindale Rd, Gairbraid Ave, Guthrie St, Balfour St, Niven St, Stirrat St, Collina St....so-on...' But, only a handful of the houses in these streets are still inhabited, due to the fact most of them are boarded up awaiting Demolition.

The first few years of my life Ive lived in springburn & milton, then I moved to 'HaryMill' when I was 7. Ive always had a strong interest in the history of 'Dear old Maryhill' & anycunt who knows me will tell you Im really proud to be a Maryhill-Boy.
